Stainless steel coil plays a very important role in our daily life. From ships to trains to high-rise buildings, some important alloying elements can help stainless steel to get better performance in various application environments.
Stainless steel is also a kind of alloy steel, some metal elements, are important components to form alloys, including: iron, nickel, chromium, cobalt. Corrosion-resistant elements help stainless steel inhibit the process of rusting. The following five points are the key factors of these substances:

1. Chromium needs high temperature solid solution
Chromium, requires a higher temperature to melt. Solid chromium will not melt in a furnace unless the temperature reaches above 3465 degrees Fahrenheit. Its high temperature resistance is very useful for steels that require fire resistance, and is successfully used in engines such as aircraft and high-speed trains.
2. Chromium can form ruby red
Many people appreciate the brilliant red color of rubies. Surprisingly, chrome ore, which is contained in nature, also produces this color. Chromium not only plays a vital role in the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, but its bright color combines with other metals, including yellow, green or red.
3. Nickel alloy can be quickly magnetized
Unlike other metals, nickel can be magnetized very quickly. Therefore, nickel is not only an important component of corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloys, it also plays an important role in many magnets. By mixing nickel, cobalt, and iron, manufacturers create permanent magnet alloys that are used in a variety of applications.
4. Two key alloying elements can form stainless steel
Alloys do not form naturally. Of course some accidents can happen. For example, gold miners occasionally discovered that alloys can be mixed with gold and silver on the ground, and humans have since learned how to use alloys. Many early societies created cookware and other household items, mostly copper, a soft metal. During the Bronze Age, metal craftsmen developed a way to create a corrosion-resistant and durable alloy consisting of copper and tin mixed together to give bronze greater strength and corrosion resistance.
Steel itself is mixed with iron and a small amount of carbon, unfortunately, the iron rusts over time as the air and water elements react with the carbon. However, by adding small amounts of nickel and chromium to the molten metal, the scientists discovered that they could form a corrosion-resistant alloy that would help prevent the problem that steel tends to rust. 5. Nickel alloy can make stainless steel more durable

Many Americans use nickels that are white metal. Years ago, the U.S. Mint added nickel to produce stronger, more durable coins. Combined with chromium, nickel and iron, it helps shape the steel more, and it does a good job at high temperatures.
