904L stainless steel strip is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel strip with very low carbon content, which has good corrosion resistance in dilute acid and is specially designed for environments with harsh corrosion conditions. It has high chromium content and sufficient nickel content. The addition of copper makes it have strong acid resistance, especially for chloride crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It is extremely resistant to pitting and cracks. The pitting corrosion resistance is slightly better than other steel grades, with good machinability and weldability, and non-magnetic in solid solution state.
